Infomaniakís offices

Infomaniak Network SA was established in 1996 by co-founders and shareholders Fabian Lucchi and Boris Siegenthaler, after Infomaniak SNC, a general partnership they founded in 1994.

The concept

Priority is given to investing in quality services and support. In-house developing of our tools and products. Owning and managing our own Datacenters. Giving all our clients the possibility to benefit from our know-how to lower and share out our development costs.

Operations

Infomaniak Network SA’s activities are conducted from the company head offices in Geneva, Switzerland, where all the company employees work, and where both our Datacenters are located. It’s in that same region that the Web was invented by Tim Berners-Lee in 1989 from inside the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN).

Infomaniak Network SA’s 2010 turnover amounted to 10.5M€, while employing nearly 40 collaborators and achieving investments to meet its expectations: 2012 will indeed be a turning point in the company’s expansion, with the launching of new upscale products and tools adapted to the market’s present and future demand.

History and development

2011	Our company employs nearly 40 collaborators. The 100 000 hosted domains milestone has been reached, and an audio and video media storage solution was released, supported by an entirely new administration interface.
2010	We hosted over 650'000 electronic addresses on our company infrastructures and made business with over 800 partner companies which specialize in Internet website development.A second entity was created: Infomaniak Entertainment SA is exclusively dedicated to the management of our ticketing solution, thus externalizing it.
2009	We launched a Housing service to give people who were interested the possibility of placing their server in one of our datacenters. Upon request, we also offered hosting services on dedicated virtual servers as well as live video streaming solutions. Many companies joined us in the adoption of an environmental plan.
2008	Our second datacenter is put in operation. We initiated a strict environmental plan which will evolve every year, to have the company take on a commitment on more than 30 points.
2007	We became the second Swiss web hosting company with over 40'000 hosted domains and we entered the top 10 of Belgium’s biggest hosting companies with over 2'000 national customers.
2006	More than 50 FM radios used our Internet streaming solution. Important groups such as the Radio Suisse Romande, NRJ, Fun Radio or Oui FM entrusted us with their radio broadcasting on Internet.Infomaniak thus became a major European actor in the streaming business.
2005	With over 30'000 domains hosted, Infomaniak became the third Swiss national hosting company.From then on, our entire software platform and all its surrounding tools have been developed by in-house computer programmers in Geneva (except for our Anti-virus solution). This gives us the possibility to manage entirely our tools and devices and stand out from our competitors thanks to unique technological innovations.Infomaniak became the leader in Internet radio broadcasting in Switzerland Romandy and in France, our neighbors, with 90% of FM radios using our audio streaming solution.
2004	We were designated as number one of hosting companies in Switzerland for gTLDs (according to webhosting.info). 35% of our growth was made in foreign countries. This proved our know-how wasn’t answering only a local demand but our hosting services were also competitive on an international level.
2003	Internet keeps on developing, and the number of websites hosted by Infomaniak kept on increasing.
2002	With over 3'000 hosted websites, Infomaniak Network SA became Switzerland Romandy’s leading hosting company.
2001	Our development focused exclusively on Unix/Linux solutions to break free from Microsoft operating systems.
2000	Our company specializes in Internet website hosting.The objective was then to focus all of the time and the company’s know-how on setting a very upscale product while keeping a very attractive price in relation to the power of our services. To completely master all of our servers and have an immediate reaction time on equipment operations, we created our own datacenter.
