Ticket service

Our system of ticketing, print@home, allows sales of tickets for festivals and events to be made exclusively online.
This very powerful platform can be adapted to meet diverse and specific demands and can be integrated transparently into the client's web site.
The main strengths:

• Admin console allowing the organiser to modify all the parameters in real time and the opportunities offered by our ticketing service;
• Checking tickets on the sites with our wireless bar code readers;
• Great flexibility in terms of options for ticket sales and customisation of tickets.

Audio Broadcast

Do you want to streaming audio live broadcast your radio on the Internet?
We currently work with more than a hundred radio stations throughout Europe (France, Switzerland, Belgium), and we provide support daily for several tens of thousands of simultaneous connections.
This system is based on a server cluster with load balancing. 
In this way radios can offer their audiences high-quality listening without any restrictions as to the number of listeners, for example from their web site.

Outlines of the operating principle:

• At the  back end, 2 broadcast servers of which 1 reserve guaranteeing both fail-over in case of a fault and load balancing for live reflectors ;
• At the front end, five servers minimum, serving as live reflectors. The latter balance the listeners for the different streams ;
• The feeds are monitored 24h/24h. Upon the slightest interruption of the stream an email will be sent to the customer automatically;
• Audio streams can be offered at any time in a different format such as MP3, AAC, Ogg Vorbis Ogg Speex, Ogg Flac, Ogg ;
• An admin console allows, you among other things, to obtain statistics (number of listeners in real time, number of single listeners daily, average listening time ...) and this is for each stream, in each listening quality, and is available at  http://statslive.infomaniak.com.

Note that this service is only offered to radios broadcasting on FM at the moment.

Video Broadcast

Live video streaming service in real time via Internet. 
We mainly work with national and local television stations, but we also broadcast one-off events: matches, festivals, events, inaugurations.
We also offer this service to any media that offer video streaming via Internet. Our solution, based on Flash technology, uses a cluster of servers running on Linux and connected to our fully redundant 2x10 GB BGP fibre network.

Our main strengths:

• We provide a flash video player that is easily integrated into your web site and can be fully configured;
• We provide a server allowing video encoding in the SDI, composite or S-video (optional) format;
• Define your geographical areas where the stream can be viewed or blocked (Geo IP), define your broadcast schedule and interruptions in the video stream;
• This service can be linked to our solution for video on demand. You create your programme schedule and the archives will be generated automatically on your VOD platform;
• Admin console that allows you to set the parameters for your player, to program your automatic recordings and to visualise your statistics (number of listeners in real time, number of single listeners daily, average viewing time ?)

Video on Demand

We offer a powerful that uses Flash technology. Uploaded videos are converted automatically into Flash flv formats and are indexed to allow positioning into the video without waiting for it to be loaded.

You will have a Flash video player at your disposal that enables a whole multitude of functions and than can easily be integrated into your web pages.

This service can be linked to our system for Live video broadcast: so this way you will be able to use our VOD platform to offer automatic recording and archiving of video sequences (broadcasts for example) from our VOD platform.
 
Our VOD solutions are classed into two products:

• solutions for high volume storage, several terabytes of video
• solutions for very high availability allowing peaks in traffic of several gigabits in bandwidth, for instance for viewing or downloading a video in particular.

Housing

We own two data centres in Geneva and we offer our customers the opportunity to host their own servers at our Vernier site.

This service includes:

• A secure facility for hosting servers ranging from 3U to several racks;
• uninterruptible power supply, with a battery life of 48 hours minimum;
• an internet connection to Infomaniak Network SA's 2x10 gigabit BGP network;
• air-conditioned facilities with emergency ventilation;
• customers have access to their servers 24h/24. Access is securely protected and entry control is with passes.

Dedicated servers

Infomaniak's hosting runs on several tens of servers in order to achieve stability and performance. each server has been purpose-designed for a very specific use (php5, php4, databases, admin console, statistics, backup, mail, webmail, anti-virus, anti-spam, etc.). Should you opt for a dedicated server that we manage, we will manage it as if it were one of our servers, whether this concern the hardware or the software.

One or more dedicated servers are recommended to isolate you completely from other customers for the Apache/PHP and/or SQL part. This allows you to take advantage of 100% of CPU resources and memory. You can install certain software or modules there that we do not authorise on our shared servers for various reasons (performance, stability and/or security) and we can supply a study for special optimisation of your Web site if required.

Example of use:
Our most demanding customers use our solution for dedicated servers for any dynamic contents on their site (php, databases), our load balancing solution for anything that is not dynamic (simple html pages, images, videos, audio) and which generates bandwidth, and finally our high volume storage platform for storing their archives.

High volume storage

This solution allows you to put several terabytes of data online, secured by a system of continuous redundancy and backed up on a daily basis.

This storage solution has been specifically designed for static files (images, video, audio, text documents, ...)

This product can be combined with our load balancing solution, where you can make files that are in greatest demand available; you can also combine our services for shared or dedicated hosting there for the dynamic part of your site (PHP and MySQL for example).

Shared Hosting

Shared hosting is our flagship product! With more than 100 000 hosted domains we are one of the leaders in high-end shared hosting in France, Belgium and Switzerland.

Our product was designed for reliability and performance. 
Whereas our competition reduces shared hosting on the principle of clustering 100 to 400 hosted sites on a single server, we distribute all the services over several dozens of servers to operate a hosting. Each one of these servers has been purpose-designed for a specific use (php5, databases, admin console, statistics, backup, mail, webmail, anti-virus, anti-spam, etc.). Each family of servers is managed like a server: with a single click we can update several hundred servers, whether this is for a major update of the system or for a security patch that needs to be carried out fast.

Moreover we manage the resources used by each customer's particular requirements intelligently: where a customer uses at a peak 60% of the CPU resources of an SQL server, we move it to an SQL server where there is a cluster of customers who do not use SQL or use it very little.
